Auld Lang Syne
I don't really have an excuse as to why I have not written in so long except perhaps I have so very little write about. I had hoped that by this point I would have recovered my fotting and found gainful employment, but I will be ringing in the New Year sans-job.
However, I will be heading down to Calgary for a job interview early next week, and by all accounts, I have a leg up on the competition as it is with a hotel brand, and management company that I know very well.
But I'm not going to get my hopes up, so far I have had one 'sure-thing' fall through on me, so until I get a signed offer letter in my hands I'm not going to count chickens.

**CENSORED**
*************************************************************************************************************************************************************
Okay, now that I'm done talking about the fun at home today, I'll let everyone know that I /didn't/ have to goto Banff today, it appears that wthey will want me to come on Monday/Tuesday nextweek. So.... I will see people at BP's.
On the Votergate front, it appears that CNN is actually starting to take an interest in the possible disenfranchisement (thats are REALLY long word... it should be Welsh), among American voters.
Standard Service / Premium OnePASS Services 1 and 2
Very interesting indeed!

It's Official - I'm in Trouble
Both of the jobs fell through today. So I'm now heading out with my hat in hand to nearly every hospitality industry contact I have in Edmonton in the hopes of nailing something down that can pay my essential bills.
Damn it!

Political Awareness
It's been awhile since I last posted on something that wasn't a 'pity me' story about my current state of employment. So today, before I head off to Dogs in the Vineyard at James', I figured I would bring attention to an important matter that has received very little actual media coverage.
It appears that something went very wrong on November 2nd, 2004. There is enough evidence; that a lawsuits are being filed, and the Democratic minority of the House Judiciary Committee are pressing for a full investigation. The distinct possibiblity of voter fraud in the 2004 election of George W. Bush.
Now it is possible that this is all overblown nonsense, but the fact remains, that if even a shred of it is true, then the US Election was tampered with, and that is a very dangerous situation that should concern us all. The US is the worlds largest economy, and we are talking about the possibility that the Commander-In-Chief of the world's most advanced military may not be the legitimate holder of the position.
VoterGate, if that is what it turns into; could shake the very foundations of Western Democracy, and could lead to intense civil unrest perhaps even civil war.
The most frightening thing about this is the utter lack of media coverage. Only MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is devoting time to it.
On the flipside it's possible that alot of these people may be attention hounds and 'tin-hat' conspiracy theorists, as it is very hard to take Bev Harris of blackboxvoting(dot)org completely seriously about her claims, when she goes off half-cocked on the only member of the mainstream media who uses his TV spot to air this possible travesty.
Regardless, I recommend keeping tabs on this, either way it will be important: conspiracy theory, or fact.

Stir Crazy?!
So... I uhm... cleaned. Alot. Not enough to satisfy Tim apparently but what does he know... he's just the upstairs roomie (who might be described as a tad neurotic... [by Hannibal Lector]).
Let's see right now both Tim and **OW!** [Name Censored] are looking over my shoulder mocking my typing abilities, oh! and the cleanliness of my accomodations. %@#&-them!
I'm still unemployed; going insane, and uhm... help?!

Biting The Bullet
So I got stood up for my interview...
Sigh. I'm off to goto the local HRDC office to file my unemployment paperwork. I had hoped to avoid this by being employed when I became eligbile but thats today, and I still haven't received the official offer letter from the local hotel, so now I am starting to get worried.
I have rent to pay, car payments to make and insurance premiums to pay... OH! and eat, although I could likely go a few weeks without eating and not suffer too badly... It may even be a good weight loss program for me.
I think it's time I actually seriously considered relocating. If the local job falls through I don't know what I'm going to do.
