Life Is Not Purgatory

Trepidation
Twas the night before the game, and all through BP's
All the players were talking, about conspiracies.
While the Prince was attacked by so many of his peers,
it seemed like the city would be consumed with thier fears.
The city is abuzz, with some calls for revolt,
but the Elders and thier pawns prepare to retort.
The game is tonight and although I can't wait,
I stand and I'll watch and see it out straight.

Turns Turns Turn
Yehaw! I like it when I am back in the groove. I haven't felt this way about Purgatory for quite some time. Dave and I had been slowly drifting apart and we appeared to be headed in difrerent directions - but we had our blow up at eachother after last turn and things seem to be working out much better.
I can't wait till Friday.

Weekend Update
Fri 16:18 - Scouts Canada calls Shani and Don to inform them that they received a booking from a Scout troop and will be enforcing the 10pm-6am 'Quite Time' rules, organizers enter panic mode.
Fri 16:28 - Cameron returns from work and enters the Crisis Centre (Living Room) enters Crisis Manager Mode(TM).
Fri 16:32 - Idea to call Parks & Recreation to obtain special dispensation to use the Kinsmen site, unforunately office is closed, being 4:30pm on a Friday.
Fri 16:35 - Shani immerses herself in the phonebook with websearch assistance, cell phones start calling every campground within 1 hour drive.
Fri 16:40 - Idea to call the Park Ranger on duty, ranger is receptive to plight and calls supervisor. Calls back 10 minutes later to send regrets, but no bureacrat availible to give permission, and neither supervisor nor ranger has authority. However, Crisis Team learns that we may should be able to arrange it for future events with notice.

We called everywhere even players parents who own land, but to no avail we had to cancel the Seeds of Promise 'Dusk to Dawn' Caern Building.
I decompressed for a few hours, still in a pretty foul mood before heading to Anna's mage game - and I'm glad I went, even though I almost stormed out after the first few minutes (I was overwhelmed with everything... it all fell into place nicely ans I got into the groove of Issac Jones.)
Had a blast at Seeds of Promise (we simply did our normal game) even though I cam >< this close to tossing an argumentative player from the field and slightly fell back into my foul-ish mood but still came out of it.
Spent the evening with Dave doing Purgatory plot and discussing the events unfolding, it should be a very interesting turn... that I am sure of.
Anyways - off to bed. Night!

Stoking Fury's Furnace
So... i just snuggle into bed last night when Shani calls me about the Seeds of Promise debacle, and how people are griping at how the entire inicdent was handled. I have to empahize with some of the concerns - my suggestion was to write a summary of what happened and why and sit on it till you wake up, then edit out the angry bits, post it and tell everyone to suck it up or leave the game.
I get to work late because my blood is still boiling, and I am trying to aviod being this angry at work. I arrive, give my boss the disclaimer that I am attempting to avaoid people today then less than an hour later get into dispute with a co-worker. Yet, I don't even raise my voice... although if it was an Ally McBeal episode his head would have exploded.
I'm really, really angry today and I am trying desperately not to let it show, infact I am trying my very best to be as plastic and nice as possible. I'm just hoping I don't 'stroke out'.

Boiling Rage
I thought I had a good day today, then everything started to go downhill at BP’s. I left early, at 10:30 after the fourth person beaked off at me regarding the rabble that had conglomerated there. It started out with Seeds of Promise – and an OOC misunderstanding that spread into game and then back out, and I lost my temper trying to get to the heart of the matter. Then some stuff happened with Purgatory that I’m not entirely pleased about. To top it off many people were exceptionally boisterous and taking up too much space in the aisles between tables. The manager talked to me about it, Dave talked to me about it, the other waitresses mentioned it to me, then Brian piped up and I told him I was aware of it and asked him to drop it – and he continued, and I then balled a fist and told him to drop it – so he continued again, and I growled at him then walked away to say my goodbyes. So, I’m trying my best to keep a brave face on and say my goodbyes – go to give my girlfriend a hug and she light-heartedly slaps me – at Brian’s request… so I suck that up and then just as I’m leaving Julie pulls me off to the side to talk about the problems being caused by the ‘vampires’. So I listen and affirm to do something about it – but tell her that I am aware of the problems and I’ll do my best.
See look at me, good little soldier – no violence today, even though I can feel my pulse in my eyeballs, I am sooooo mad.

Don Diego Manuel Ramirez Ortega VIISeptQuest 2004 - was excellent, even though they don't read this site, I would like to (again) extend my thanks to Adam, Shelley and Shannon for runnin an awesome quest. Our party may have missed 3/4 of the quest, made next-to-no coin, blindly stumbled our way through most of the plot, but we had an important role in the final scene - and we made our own fun, and thats what was important. I am very glad that Iain and Val were there as thier 'Happy Campers' and I hope that they get addicted to this style of game.
On a side note, I think I'm interested in running MayQuest 2005.
Eric, (another individual whose name escapes me), and I bantered about a couple of ideas and things are starting to take form in my minds eye. And while Eric can't get co-organizer credit without forfieting his marriage - I think it's a definate possibility... if I can get a Tenchi afficinado on board (like Raven or Tom).
[cackle maniaclly] It would work best as a Tenchi-style game but otherwise it would work... I'd like Eric on board but I think Star would kill me if I asked.
