So... Raven, Don, Myrna, Davyd and I watched Chigaco until 12:30am this morning... it was quite good. I knew nothing about the storyline, but had heard that it was a good (if a little overrated) musical. Now, I think I prefer Baz Luhrmann's style (Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge), but all in all it was pretty good. I had heard the soundtrack before but alot of the songs require the accompanment of the video in order to make them work.

I want to go canoeing with Myrna and Davyd this weekend, but I am not certain whether I will be able to get it off... I'll find out tommorow... he is to hoping I can.

Mango Tea
So, Starlin' and I had a good chat today. I have at least three solutions to the problem ahead of me, one of which I can summarily ignore because it would be tantamount to doing the same thing 'Not Now' girl did to me, and I really disliked that so I will not visit that on somebody else (even though it would only be that because of a technicality.) I have two options: confront the problem head on, or ignore it.

Now, as a rational being who generally does not shy away from confrontation - I know what needs to be done. But that doesn't mean it's goinbg to happen. %&*$, I am a coward. I know I'll do the right thing, it's simply a matter of timing I guess... sigh.

I appear to be in a spot of trouble, and uncertain how to proceed. Why is it that life throws you a curveball, when you are least capable of catching it? I have to get some advice from my friends (especially Starlin'), but I am not certain I have ever felt this uncomfortable... and I know I cannot ignore it for much longer before the situation becomes untennable.

Turns Turns Turns
Working on the Purgatory turns so that I can go to CANvention/CONversion in Calgary this weekend!!!

It's looking like I'll be able to make it, although I'll be bringing my work laptop with me to work on them in what little downtime I have.

Apparently my readership has gone down in the past few months... just thought I'd share that.

Racism
Members of visible minorities who unjustifiably play the 'racism' card really annoy me. In fact, I would have to argue that such acts are a significant contributing factor to racial intolerance. Members of minorites who expect to be treated in a certain manner will percive slight where there is no cause, as they will simply look for anything to twist into thier own special world view.

So I got called a racist today, well... not me specifically... but I was included in the broad catagory of people she accused of persecuting her because of her skin color. She reported to the union at all the 'white-skins' (her actual words) here were out to get her. Gee... with a statement like that... I wonder who the racist actually is.

On another note, I am starting to get rolling with my Tempest forum posts, and it would appear that my character may be a little smitten with another character, which is odd for me in an RPG as I tend to avoid developing romantic interests between PC's (for some reason). We shall see what develops however.

Eye of the Storm
So I went to Starlin's game last night. I had a blast, and have found my niche for the character although there are a couple of minor tweaks I think I need to make to the character... which shouldn't be too hard... given I don't have a character sheet.

Anyways, I am up and waiting for my new Auditor at work to call me (first night alone), and am trying to find somebody to duel me in Warlocks. So if anybody is still up tonight and bored, give me a call maybe we can do coffee?
