Enjoyment
It was a good day. I got to do the things I enjoy most about my job today: talking to guests and making their stay that much more enjoyable and memorable. Two sets of American’s enjoying the sights of Edmonton, each of whom I had at least a twenty minute conversation with while sitting on the sofas in the lobby. I like reasonable, personable people whom are capable of relaxing and enjoying themselves.
I even got complimented, that in all their stays through Canada and the United States – I was the first hotel manager to take time out of his schedule to initiate conversation with them. And given that one was a retired Presbyterian minister, and the other was a retired Marine officer… I think I can take that at face value.
I want to talk a walk through the Legislature grounds sometime soon. It’s very serene and romantic… especially at dusk or under moonlight… sigh.
