Power Corrupts & Absolute Power Is Kinda Neat!
So we had our live game last night. I think it went pretty well, although I am very glad we didn't trust the acting role to an actor. It was one of those scenes which required an organizers hand, especially when the life of a player character hangs in the balance. I really enjoy being a storyteller, although the game reminded me of why sometimes I /hate/ organizing. I try my damnedest to maintain an unbiased approach to all my decisions, and I don't like my judgement calls being questioned. It happens and I understand it, but when I am trying to educate my players on a better approach to the situation... having my advise thrown back in my face is infuriating. He apologized after the game, so it's all better now, but as a word of advise to all gamers, don't argue with the Storyteller, we try to do our best for the enjoyment of everyone.

The Spirit of the Sky
My father and I went on our Hot Air Baloon Flight today. I must say it was truly an experience I will never forget. We arrived at the Valley Zoo at 8:45am, a little worried that the Windship Aviation people hadn't arrived yet. A couple arrived at about 9:00 (I can't for the life of me remember thier names), just before the arrival of the baloon and chase van. After a few minutes of work, and after we signed the waivers absolving the pilot and the company of liability (in the case that I should fall 500 feet to my glorius death) we were off. It was wonderful! We traveled as far south as Whitemud Drive, and made it to Highway 14 where we touched down, an hour and a half later. After so chamagne and donughts we were driven back to our cars and went our own seperate ways.

The Spirit of Giving
Last Christmas I gave each of my parents a ticket for a Hot Air Baloon Flight. They had gone several years before that and had said that they enjoyed themselves, so I thought about it and deceided that I was going to blow my budget and buy them each a ticket so they could enjoy it together again. When they opened the envelope on Christmas Day last year, I noticed my mother's lukewarm reception to the gift. After a year of procrastination she finally decided that she didn't want to go, so my father asked me if I wanted to go in my mothers place. I mulled it over, a little hurt that I thought I had thought of a great Christmas gift, only to realize that my mother didn't appreciate it. I have no idea what to do for Christmas this year, but I think I'll keep it simple.

This Is Only A Test... That Is All
This is still a test. I am testing this template to see if I am going to keep it. If you have anything you want to say... until I have comments set up you will have to suffer.
